![]() SDCard.fs FILE: kernel.elf, Data.fs, Prebundled.fs, SDCard.fs ![]() These files are the stock Beta files and remain in place There are seveal terminal emulators in the stores, do you guys have a preference for which one to use in BS? So can any of you linux/android guru's give me some pointers on what might be happening? By the way, I'm using an Ubuntu live cd to boot into ubuntu in order to do the rooting process, then copying root.fs back to my windows partition. When I mounted system_sfs I did get a warning that it was mounted RO, but I believe I got the same warning when my rooting worked previously. I'm sure I did exactly as I had done before when I did get root. (tried executing superuser from the /app dir and got an error that the package could not be parsed) I started thinking I had a bogus superuser.apk ( I had used ) so then I tried a couple others (Superuser-3.1.3-x86-signed.zip and Superuser-3.1.2-x86-signed.zip) Still no root so I must have done something wrong but I'm stumped. They all show rw permissions and the system is mounted rw so I'm kinda stumped. Superuser is in /apps with the current date. When looking through the system I see "su" is in /bin and /xbin with current dates, so that seems ok. Re-installed BS and went through the root process just like before (only takes me about 5 minutes now!) but rootcheck now says I don't have root. Since then I ended up doing a full re-install of windows (for other reasons). ![]() Was pretty happy with it considering I've never touched linux/android 'till then! Rootcheck said I had root, everything worked. A couple weeks ago, I followed the instructions for rooting BS (manual method) and it went without a hitch.
